Collected Treasures

Pillows and Vintage Linens

Floral China, Milk Glass and White Pitchers

Over the summer I had to pack up a bunch of my collections. We needed the front room for temporary storage and work space, and there wasn't anywhere else safe to put them, so I stashed them in the shed temporarily.

So today I decided it was time to get my treasures back out and find spots for them. It was like Christmas and Birthday all at once! There were so many things I had forgotten about.

I have been collecting white pitchers and creamers for a long, long time. That curvy one is actually from Target, years ago. The others are thrifted.

Do you see the sweet little bird? A friend gave that to me. Isn't that nice?

The floral plate with the pierced edge was one of the last things I bought last Spring. I found it for two bucks at the Goodwill. Can you believe it? Well, you probably can! Everything I have is thrifted.

I love all these vintage quilts, vintage chenille scraps and unfinished quilt blocks. All of these were collected on eBay.

I had forgotten all about this pink and white pillow, too. I made it a couple of years ago from a piece of vintage embroidery and some reproduction fabrics. Which reminded me that I still have another dozen scraps of embroidery from the same collection all waiting to be turned into pillows, too.

Seeing all these pretty things sure made my day. It was fun to rediscover them all, and now I can't wait to find places for them!

Hi Angela, I'm visiting from Twitter and love your blog. I also love your collected treasures, esp. those white pitchers. I collect white pitchers and those are awesome (so you know, if you decide you don't have a space after all... lemme know! LOL!) I have some treasures packed away too and am getting ready for a garage sale ... wonder what I'll find?! Enjoy your newfound treasures and decorating with them!

How beautiful! I just read your statement on the side about 50's style ranch not going to stop you from decorating like you want to...how TRUE!!!Wish everyone felt that way!

Oh my, you have some very beautiful things. That pillow is really pretty too.

I'm cathleen, by the way, and I made the above comment!

I love the look of those white dishes and the pillows. I wish I could decorate like you!

Isn't it fun to find treasures you've packed away? I found a box full of sweet little goodies the other day. I don't have room to put all of them out but I just can't bear to part with any of them! So, I'll work in the ones I can and rearrange and shift things once in a while. Thanks for sharing your pretty things with us. ~Adrienne~

I love rediscovering my old "new" things!

Maybe that's what I should do? Box things up for a few months and then take them out... maybe it would keep me from shopping. :)

Toni:

Lisa:

Nice to rediscover old treasures. They're "new" all over again. Hope all is well.

That first photo is soooo beautiful!!!! I love unpacking my things just after I've moved and that's only about after a week of not seeing them. I can imagine how great it felt for you to unpack your things after months of not seeing them. It's sort of like that "high" you get from buying new things you love!

What absolutely beautiful things!

Good luck with the renovation!

Hi Angela, welcome back. I'm sorry you have had such a rough time and am hoping it is all better now for you.

Love your treasures!
