A Headboard for Baby Girl (Thrifted White Wicker)
So, as you know, we've been plugging along (sloooooowly) at making over Baby Girl's Room. We finished the trim a few months (!?!) ago, and have been doing the wainscoting a bit at a time.
At the same time, though, I've also been collecting up furniture pieces and fabric to use in her room. It's very exciting.
I am so fortunate to be a part of a local Mom's group where I live. That's where I got the bed! The mattress I swapped with another Mom in the group for a bed that Rocket Boy had outgrown. The headboard (and frame) was snagged for me at a garage sale by another Mom who knew I was looking, and I got it from her. Isn't that cool? Both are in near perfect condition, so I'm really excited.
I love how the headboard just peeks up over the top of the new wainscoting (which will be painted white). Oh, I almost forgot to tell you the very best part. You want to know what I paid for the headboard?
I am hearing the Yello song in my head right now. Do any of you know what I mean? Anyone? Anyone?
Now I'm trying to finalize colors. I have all the fabric, but I'm stuck on paint. I was thinking about doing a "board" for the room to help figure it out. I've never actually done one. How do you guys do them? Do you take photos of what you have? Or for fabric, do you scan it in? Or do you hunt something similar down online?
