I Might (or Might Not) Have a Tiny Little Problem (Vintage Creamers)
Recently I was reading one of my favorite quilting blogs, Threadheads Unite, and Kim was saying that it was time for to clear out the clutter. You know, being a thrifter extraordinare (check out her Thrifty Thursday posts for a history of her loot), she'd acquired too much stuff and was getting rid of some.
Wow. Cool, right? I was very inspired by all that. I'm reading and nodding along, feeling vicariously triumphant at her exclamation, "I Am Not A Hoarder!" Yes! Me too! You go, Kim! I'm right there! What are you going to get rid of?
You know what she was getting rid of?
Lots and lots of creamers.
Vintage, thrifted, white creamers.
You know where this is going, don't you?
The bad news is that the flow of stuff is not exactly going the right direction.
The good news is that now I am the proud owner of a whole slew of new-to-me creamers! Yahoo!
As soon as I received them, I put them all out together so I could snap a few (!!!) pics.
Unfortunately, my favorite one from the bunch got cracked in shipping! Always a bummer. We glued it back together (by "we" I mean "my husband"), and it's mostly put back together.
Oh, well, how can I complain when there's so many adorable creamers still!? I mean, seriously, look at them all.
Isn't it amazing how they can all be so very different?
I love all their shapes and details.
But I definitely think this one is my favorite.
Now I just need to collect some full-size pitchers to balance out the collection! Ha!
What about you? Do you have a collection? How do you control the impulse to have more, more, more?
