Living Room, Before
Today on the tour of my new house is my new living room. And you can't talk about the living room without talking about the fireplace. So, there's good news and bad news about the fireplace. The good news is that there is a fireplace (yay) and it has some nice stone (yay). The bad news, and it's really bad, is that it's smack in the entry to the home. Like, if you put a chair or couch in front of the fireplace you'd walk into the back of it as soon as you walked in the door. I'm NOT sure what anybody was thinking with this brilliant idea. Plus, get a load of that planter box, blocking what's left of the pathway around the fireplace to the rest of the house.
The rest of the living room is pretty non-descript. The one wall is salmon, and the wall next to the fireplace is peach. It's also not a normal wall, it's wooden panelling that's been patched and orange peeled. So originally it was brown paneling. But ultimately it's a box. Which means blank slate, my favorite!!
Next I'll show you the kitchen. Hooooo boy, wait'll you see THAT!!
