Thrifted Coffee Table
So, when I wrote about my latest thrift store finds, I mentioned that I had also found a piece of furniture at the Goodwill, well here it is! A coffee table that I got for $20! Some of the glass is broken so I'll have to replace that, and I'll probably paint it. But even with those projects, $20 for a solid oak table? I'm there! And it fits so nicely with the corner sofa we bought for the family room, much better than the table we had gotten. I can't tell you how pleased I am. So now, here's my question: what should I do with the glass panels? Let's assume I'm going to paint the table white or cream (which is, at the moment, the plan). Would you put plain glass in? Or, considering I have a toddler and a husband who likes to put his feet up, would you go with something sturdier? Like four mosaic panels? Or would you put a big cushion on it and make it into a kind of an ottoman? If you were me, what would you do?
